| Roy Tsumoto has always worked with wood. His parents owned Monkeypod Center in Kapalama where he learned the wood working process from cutting the tree to milling the lumber and creating finished products. Since 1983, he has been making jewelry boxes and desk accessories which he sells at craft fairs and to several galleries in Hawaii. He tells everyone that working with wood is his “therapy”.
Roy recently retired from the Department of Education where he was a drafting teacher at Radford High School, state resource teacher and educational specialist for Industrial Arts, and education officer overseeing the Repair and Maintenance Program. |
