Bud Spindt
BUD SPINDT, a Hawai'i resident for 32 years, has been creating award-winning art in glass since 1980. He attended Dale Chihuly's famed Pilchuck School in 1983 and 1984, studying with noted glass artists Flora Mace, Joey Kirkpatrick, David Huchthausen, Dan Dailey, and Bertil Vallien. In 1992, he earned his BFA in Glass at the University of Hawai'i, where he is currently working on his Master of Fine Arts degree. He is active in the Honolulu art scene, teaching hot glass workshops and participating in public glass blowing demonstrations. Spindt's current work features unique vessel forms in jewel colors and mystical teapot sculptures.
