Steve Martin
STEVE MARTIN has lived in Hawai'i since the age of two. His clay work began in 1994 with a hand-building class with Sally Murchison at the Academy Art Center. Martin makes burnished pit-fired vessels and traditional Raku tea bowls at his studio in Waiahole Valley on the windward side of Oahu. His work has been shown in many local exhibitions, including Hawai'i Craftsmen Raku Hoolaulea and Artists of Hawai'i. One of his teabowls is in the collection of the Grand Tea Master.
