Mark had his first encounter with painting, his future profession, at age twelve. After attending art school in the Pacific Northwest, he moved to New York City to work and study for twelve years, continuing his training at the New York Academy of Figurative Art, the National Academy of Design, and the Art Student’s League. He received additional specialized individual instruction from other accomplished artists. The recipient of multiple regional and national awards in juried and invitational exhibits, Mark’s work can be found in collections both public and private.
