Lynda Sakraida
Hadji Baba Bags
Lynda taught herself to sew by the trial and error method in 2004, because she had fallen in love with a pink handbag that she wasn't going to get any other way. By the time she was happy with the job she had done, she had made hundreds of the bag, perhaps more. And she had developed a passion for the process of creating handbags. Along the way she acquired a real addiction for exquisite fabrics: silks, linens, fine blends and any fabric that invites petting.
Lynda learned quickly to let the fabric do what it wanted to do, as trying to force it to do otherwise always resulted in disaster. She never did learn to follow a pattern and soon gave up trying. Her guarantee to never make two bags alike is a result of a short attention span and has never been broken. She’s still having more fun than should be legally allowed.
Lynda has collected a treasure chest of beads and embellishments from around the world, just to add the perfect finish to every Hadji Baba Bag. And that continues to be her goal: to create perfect Hadji Baba Bags and share them all with you.
